Torum Heng

Torum is a graduate of The Actors’ Program, and also holds a degree in Music Theatre from NASDA in 2007.


She made her professional acting debut in The Producers at The Court Theatre, followed by Anything Goes. In 2009 she notably played the role of Dinah in the national tour of Starlight Express with UK's Really Useful Group. She has appeared around the country in over twenty professional productions for various companies including Fortune Theatre - Dunedin, Court Theatre - Christchurch, and Centrepoint Theatre in Palmerston North.

Torum made her television debut in 2013 as ‘Tiana’ in South Pacific Pictures' fifth season of Go Girls, and is currently in production for AFK the Web Series Season 2.

In 2015 Torum turned her hand to writing, penning and performing her first solo show, which won both the Best Comedy Show and the NZ Tour Ready Award in the Auckland Fringe Awards. In 2016 she was invited to perform for a month at the prestigious Gilded Balloon at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Torum is also a story-liner for Filthy Productions and joined their writing team for TV show Filthy Rich Season 2 in 2017.  In 2018 she joined The Project as a comedy writer, and she is also currently studying directing.
